The GIT Central Library is housed in a first floor and caters to the information needs of the institute faculty, students, staff, and research scholar. In addition to the Central library, there are smaller libraries in each department, which house books borrowed from the main library for quick reference. It has more than 20100 books covering all disciplines of science, engineering, technology, humanities & Management. The collection comprises printed books and journal. The non-book collections like DVD and CD - ROM discs etc.
The Central library currently subscribes to more than 100 National and International journals in sciences, engineering and humanities. The library provides On-line access to a large number of full-text journals from IEEE and DELNET. These databases are accessible on intranet, to campus users only.
The library provides various services for its members such as - Lending of books and, reservation of books, inter-library loan, document delivery, photocopying, CDROM, and Internet services. All the library activities are computerized, including searching of books in the library through an OPAC (On Line Public Access Catalog) called Self-enquiry terminal.
The library working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6.00 PM
